then I bring them into the layout, I erase a bit the bottom part of PC using mask and brush tool for erasing, thus its bottom part looks like inside the green
another step, I cut the image off, only the empty space on the right side and the up side, so it would become proper

I come it out Pepsi and Coke (PC) 'arms' then I put into the real PC forms, so it looks like they're shaking hands each other

for the next, I put 'pepsi and coke' to their arms using liquify (filter>liquify), so it looks like real

How to make it ? (5)

In this case, I put the different type of font, as you know there are three types of the different font I made, first one (2008) with the name is '3 the hardway', second one (calender) with the name is 'air', then the last one (august) with the name is 'technique ol brk'. for those I got from dafont.com, I take it by downloading then just extract to font folder.

for creating that circle I was using Ellipse tool, then I change the stroke line become thick a bit. I give the red color with the linear gradient type, so the light goes to center. Inside the circle I give some words with the name 'not for sale!!'

there are some colors like a rainbow, and the end of part becomes transparant. I give three basic colors each of line color, which are dark, normal and light. An example the blue one, there are dark blue, blue, and light blue. I created it using gradient, then made it more transparant using transparency

This is on 82% progress, in which there are so many combination of color inside, actually it has two background colors inside, brown and old brown (a bit). But I change the transparency become more transparant.

Before started the coloring, I have an idea to put the texture as my background. I got the texture from google.com then moved into A3 paper (Adobe Illustrator). Well, that size of the texture is too small, so I make it bigger with blocking the line area using 'free transform tool' then pull the cursor to each of sides.

Those are some sketching I made. In this case, I show two different sketches, on the right side, I still put the sketch inside. That's for helping me to establish the line step by step. in the other case, you can see the left one, there is the tracing lines without sketch, so it looks clearly how to establish the line.
I made it using 'pen tool', for establishing the stright lines (inside the box for the date) I was using 'line segment tool' as my tool, and for creating the circle form (left-up) I used 'ellipse tool'

ROCK YOU ON AUGUST !!

I chose the month of August as my calender, because there are some of music festival get starting. As we know, which are soundrenaline (Indonesia), Glastonbury (British), Summer Sonic '08 (Tokyo). I take summer sonic '08 for mine because there are many performances from some of countries in the whole world, especially band. In this case, Summer sonic '08 falls on 09-10 of August 2008, and it ll be located in Osaka, Japan. You will find a lot of awesome performance from Fat boy Slim, Panic! at the disco, Coldplay and so on. There are performances being held for the couple of the day and every performance is wondering which of these great band would become superstar. Another reason why I take it, basically I love music so much, whatever things that related with it is so nice to reach deeper, as long as that's still positive thing (not like drugs, and get drunk).

And about the design, I'm trying to make the lines completely, and some brightness with the gradient, I have no a good skill to improve the illustration probably, but I should try to come up all. First of all I created the sketch ( you can see at the bottom ). Then I will establish the tracing line, it is complicated a bit, I have to be carefully to do, as a result those are good looking to see and easy to do for the next step (coloring!!)

One of the purpose of this calender is to introduce to public about music festival which due to on August. And this event is always held in a year and it has became one of the routine music events in the world.

personal symbol

head, I took a part of head as my symbol because head is the first part of our body that seen everyone. An example, when we meet someone we don't know yet, exactly the thing that we do is looking at the face how it looks like.

headset/earphone, it means I always listen to the music everytime everywhere. It can't be separated with my ears. I've got a lot of inspiration from it, which are making a new song, eveb for drawing. With listening to it, can carry me on to the different moment I'd felt.

+___+, of course you don't know why I put it inside as the eyes and the mouth (plus and underscore), it doesn't look like the important meaning. But the thing you should know is it's my symbol for my life. I never forget to put it into message as a signature whenever I chat or send a message for everyone. I'm interested with it because of the unique forms.

blue, is the first one of my favorite color, it has a lot of meanings : peace, calmness, confidence, wisdom, idealism, dependability, technology, cleanliness, coldness, friendliness, strength ,faith ,truth.

yellow, I think there is a good combination between 'blue and yellow' (the used's song), so that's why I take yellow to accompany blue, it looks nicely. it has a lot of meanings : joy, optimism, happiness, hope, friendship, gladness, and sociability.

'every step I do is art', that means I always try my best for doing my life as same as when I was doing my artwork.

I gave the logo's mirror with a little bit transparant under the logo, it opposites with the real one. copy-paste then I blocked that picture move down. Then the last step, I was gonna take the words could show my thoughts using type tool, and it is my motto for doing everything

the next step is I added more colors into the logo, especially on the earphones (left and right). In that case, I made it only one side, after that I blocked those lines go to copy-paste-transform (reflect). I blanded some colors inside, still using gradient.

I put the eyes and the mouth inside, they were also managed well each other so that it looks nicely, and I gave the shadow a bit using effect-stylish-drop shadow. I added color for headset, improved by gradient. I was still using pen tool for establishing these lines.

first step I did is I established the lines in the part of its face using pen tool ( you can look at my sketch ). Then I gave the color (blue) and setted the gradient precisly in the middle of face (going up a little bit), so it looks like 3D
